President Ivan Kos: CFF wants football without fans, we will seek UEFA's protection

While everywhere in the world football is played for the audience, for CFF they are unnecessary. With their approach to work, they have managed to empty stadiums all over Croatia, so their favorite situation is to have 27 spectators at the match, as it happened yesterday at Kranjceviceva. On the other hand, the match that was played last Tuesday in front of a crowd for them is something they don't know how to deal with and they don't want to deal with.

Throughout the season, our fans support their club, pay tickets and endure hours of organizers' and CFF's terror on away matches. All of us who have organized UEFA club competition matches know that the treatment of away supporters is one of the priorities for an organizer and match delegate. In the Cup semi-final however, this situation escalated.

Hajduk's supporters bought tickets with seat numbers, arrived on time and then waited for hours to enter a stand without any rows and seats, let alone minimal civilization conditions. The delegate didn't react, no one from the Federation reacted and today the story has continued. Our supporters, who traveled to the most distant away game to give support to Hajduk, were entering the stadium for as long as until the 80th minute of the match.

We will write to UEFA and ask for their protection because there is no indication that the CFF will change anything regarding this issue, and the mere thought of the Cup final in their organization frightens us. It would obviously be the best that our fans stay in Vinkovci right now and wait in line. Thus they may come on time.
