A few days ago, young German football expert Martin Rafelt has officially joined Hajduk. This 27-year-old newcomer has become the chief analyst of the Academy, and in his previous career, the most interesting fact is that he spent some time in Mainz at Tomas Tuchel's assistant, who later became Borussia Dortmund coach.

He is a young expert in the field of football tactics, he is a frequent guest of football conferences, and has also written a book about football philosophy of coach Jurgen Klopp.

"My biggest experience comes from Mainz, where coach Tuchel called me, and then I was training youth academy teams in a smaller German club called FSV Witten for the past two years. Football tactics and analysis have been my main interest for ten years already, it has become my passion since I had to end my career because of injury" Martin said.

He spends most of his time with our U-19 team, but his job is to work with all age groups in the Academy.

"My job is scouting, team analysis, and individual work with players on tactical drills. I'm doing team analysis, how it works right now, how it can work, and fixing what can be corrected and improved. We will also deal with the structure and system of matches and training, and about improving the game through tactics".

He is delighted with the Club and the city.

"I came on the invitation of Head of Youth Academy Kresimir Gojun, I joined Mario Despotovic since I knew him from before, we talked and I agreed to come. The impressions are great, this is a great club, the Academy is a big challenge for me, I like the environment, the mentality of the players and the whole atmosphere in and around Hajduk. I'm particularly delighted with the city, this is a great place to live, I'm happy for joining Hajduk" concluded Rafelt.
