Hajduk II ended the second third of the Second HNL season with 2:2 draw in Varazdin. In a great match on a pitch in poor condition, Hajduk's second senior team won one point thanks to Darko Nejasmic and Stanko Juric who scored goals.
Nejsmic scored the first equalizer, this is the third goal that he scored this season (he is born on January 25, 1999) and was preceded by a brilliant action of the attackers and midfielders.
"The field was really bad, but my teammates managed to create a situation where I had an open shot and luckily scored. It was much easier for us to go on half-time break with the equalizer. We are happy with the draw, although we had a great chance to win in the end. We played our game, tried to combine, to a good extent we succeeded in it, just as the host did, so I think the audience could be pleased with the match".
This season Nejasmic has specialized scoring long distance goals, after the game Varazdin's coach Mario Kovacevic admitted that he warned his players about Hajduk's player no six.
"I don't have a special way of training long distance kicks, but our game is such that I often find myself in a good position, this season I have used three such situations and I am happy for that".
These days, media often published Nejasmic's photo in a completely muddy shirt after the game...
"It's nice to see it, but it's just about a detail and angle of shooting, after the game almost all my teammates were covered in mud, frozen and wet. But this is quickly forgotten, the positive result and the satisfaction of our coach Sinisa Orescanin are more important to us".
The last third of the season is ahead of them, the schedule will be announced after the remaining games Lucko vs Dinamo II and Gorica vs Sesvete.
"We are not worrying about the schedule but of course it would be nice to stay at the sixth place and play one more game at Poljud. We are a young team and we are looking forward to playing, we enjoy football and I believe that this Second League experience is great for our development and progress".
