Hajduk played a great first half in the first international friendly match against Zurich in Belek. The match ended in a 4:1 win for Hajduk, and all goals were scored in the first half. The Swiss team took a lead in the 7th minute thanks to Raphael Dwamene, and by the half time, Hajduk scored four goals.
Hugo Almeida scored an equalizer in the 24th minute after Andre Fomitschow had been fouled in the penalty box, and then the match was solved in just eight minutes. Ahmed Said Said scored in the 35th and Borja Lopez in the 38th minute, and in 43rd minute Almeida scored his second goal on the assist of Said for the final 4:1 win.
"We played a good match. I would split the first half into two parts. In the first 15 minutes, we entered a bit slower, but when we caught the rhythm it seemed much better. We scored four goals, we were working on a quick passing of the ball, good reactions to lost balls, pressure " said coach Kopic, very satisfied after the match.
"In the second half, a great number of players were our young talents. I regret that we didn't manage to score in the second half as well. In the end I have to be satisfied after a well-done week. There are no serious injuries, we played the way we want to play, we have scored goals. We are going to rest on Sunday and continue to work on Monday, in the same rhythm" concluded the coach after the first friendly match on their winter training camp in Belek.
